“See you in 3 Months” he said.

He being our most excellent Oncologist, Dr. Jayson Stoffman! Aleksei MRI and chest x-ray are clean and clear! Can I hear a Woot Woot please!

We also learned that Aleksei is going to need some booster shots as the chemo not only wiped out the Interloper but also his immunizations! After all he has been through when he heard about the needles his reaction was oh no! Silly boy, I said.

A couple of pictures as we waited in the treehouse on the paediatric oncology floor of Cancercare Manitoba to see Dr. Stoffman…photo

Of course we could not be more grateful that Aleksei’s scans continue to keep NED with us, but the many, many other children still fighting this beast known as Ewing’s Sarcoma remain in my heart 24/7, and in particular these days, my two girls, Darah and Alex, who are both battling so hard right now. I wish I could do more for their Moms, my soul sisters, Dana and Lois, but one thing I know for sure I can do for Aleksei, Darah, Alex and all the children diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma is to continue to help raise awareness. I can also help spread the word about Alex needing a bone marrow transplant and keep at it until a match has been found. For Darah I can keep sharing her story. I have readers from all over the world and one never knows who might read and have knowledge of a trial that will help Darah rid her body of cancer once and for all.
